18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jyotirshakti and its operators, owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the service — whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such loss.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Consumers outside New Jersey. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this choice of law and forum does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provision of the law of your country or state of residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement, and it does not remove any right you may have to bring proceedings in your local courts where applicable law gives you that right.

Export and sanctions. You may not use Jyotirshakti in violation of applicable United States export control or economic sanctions laws.
